PEDAGOGICAL AND TEACHING COMPETENCE

Graduates of the MSc in “Informatics and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education” acquire a certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence.

The teaching subjects offered for the acquisition of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence are included in the Curriculum of the MSc. (Table 3 above) and fall within the following subject areas:

Education and education issues (Education and education issues (Open Distance Education and Adult Education, Methodology of Educational Research, Methods of Evaluation of the Educational Project, Economics of Education and Lifelong Learning.

Issues of Learning and Teaching (Theories of Learning and Educational Practice, Special Topics in Neuropsychology and Applications in the Educational Process, Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Children and Adolescents with Learning Difficulties, Human-Computer Interaction and Empowered Learning Environments).

Special Didactics (Special Didactics (, Multimedia Applications and Transmedia in Education, Educational Software Development Applications and Tools, Principles of Educational Software Design, Applications of Informatics in Environmental Education).

Courses in Infrastructure and Basic Concepts of Informatics and ICT (Research Methodology, Computer Programming Topics, Statistical Methods, Information Technologies-Network Infrastructures and Internet Applications, Digital Security and Privacy.

The MSc students of the direction “Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education” will be mandatory, in addition to other obligations:

Graduate students who are graduates of Pedagogical Departments or already hold a Certificate of Pedagogical Competence, are exempted from the obligation to attend the course of the Teaching Practice placement and will have to choose another course from the curriculum.
