METHODOLOGY OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH

Description.

Educational research, its importance and its design. Steps of the research process from the initial selection of the topic and the reason why it was chosen to the writing of the educational research. Sampling. Validity. Basic scientific approaches. Basic techniques of processing and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. Literature survey and stages of its analysis. Definition of research questions and hypotheses. Types of educational research: naturalistic-ethnographic, historical, overviews, longitudinal research, case studies, correlational research, case studies, action research, empirical research. Socially grounded theory. Strategies and tools for data collection and the research process: interviews, questionnaires, observation, tests, role-playing, triangulation, reflection on data and findings.
