Development of Telecommunication Systems in Hardware

Description.

When designing a typical telecommunication system, we are called upon to make appropriate decisions regarding the implementation of part of its functionality in hardware and software. The course focuses on the implementation of hardware subdesigns of a telecommunication system using the hardware description language VHDL.

The aim of the course is to present basic design principles using VHDL and all the possibilities provided by the language. In addition, particular emphasis is placed on the process of simulating the designs using appropriate industrial tools in order to facilitate the process of design synthesis, which is a key part of a typical design flow.
