SCHOLARSHIPS

By decision of C.C scholarships may be offered each academic year. Scholarships may be based on academic performance criteria, or they may be merit-based, and may also involve the waiver of tuition fees.
In each call for the selection of postgraduate students, the MSc. awards two (2) scholarships to an equal number of Master students as follows:
a) to one (1) first-year student who was declared a graduate of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics during the last two (2) graduations before the closing date of the call for the selection of Master Students. If both the top 24 of the last two calls apply, then the one with the highest average score is selected.
b) to one (1) first-year student who was declared a graduate during the last two (2) graduations before the closing date of the call for the selection of Master students from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications.
If both of the top two candidates from the last two competitions apply, the one with the highest average mark will be selected. The first-place students will apply for a scholarship after being admitted as a Master Student. The secretariat of the MSc, after contacting the secretariat of the respective department, notifies C.C. if the criteria of the scholarship application are met. In the event that none of the graduates of one or both of the two sections does not apply for enrolment in the MSc., or does not apply for the scholarship in question, the respective scholarships will not be transferred to the next selection period of the Master Student. For the awarding of these scholarships, the requirements of article 3 of Government Gazette 4899/2022 (16/9/2022, Issue B) are not taken into account. These scholarships are not counted in the total number of students exempted from tuition fees and cover only the exemption of students from the obligation to pay tuition fees at the MSc.
