INTERNAL RULES ON RESEARCH ETHICS

The MSc Programme “Informatics and Computational Biomedicine” respects all the principles of ethics in research as described by the Code of Ethics in Research (Code) of the University of Thessaly. The main principles of Research Ethics adopted and fully respected by the University of Thessaly and by extension of the MSc Programme are summarised as follows.

  • Independence of researchers
  • Scientific integrity
  • Respect for dignity and personality and non-discrimination
  • Obligation to inform and obtain the consent of persons participating in the research
  • Obligation to respect the diversity of all research participants
  • Protection of the privacy and data of persons participating in the research
  • Compliance with security rules, both for the physical persons and places where the research is carried out, and for the technological systems/equipment/software used.
  • Respect of intellectual property, both of the research results of third parties and of the members of the research team of the MSc Programme
  • Relationships between researchers, obligations and responsibilities of scientific supervisors and any external collaborators.
