In accordance with Article 81 par. 4 of Law no. 4957/2022 as the Director of the MSc Programme, one (1) member of the priority rank of Professor or Associate Professor is appointed by the Curriculum Committee as the Director of the MSc for a two-year term, coming from the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, with the possibility of renewal without limitation.
The Director of the MSc Programme has the following responsibilities:
(a) preside over the Coordinating Committee, as well as the Programme Commitee shall convene its meetings,
b) recommends issues concerning the organisation and operation of the MSc Programme to the Curriculum Committee,
c) recommends to the Board and the other bodies of the MSc programme and the University issues related to the effective operation of the MSc Programme,
d) is the Scientific Officer of the programme in the Special Account for Research Grants and exercises the respective responsibilities,
e) monitors the implementation of the decisions of the bodies of the MSc Programme and the Internal Regulations for postgraduate and doctoral programmes, as well as the monitoring of the implementation of the budget of the MSc Programme,
f) exercises any other responsibility, which is defined in the decision establishing the MSc Programme.
The Director of the MSc Programme, as well as the members of the Coordinating Committee and the Curriculum Committee are not entitled to any remuneration or any compensation for the performance of the responsibilities assigned to them and related to the performance of their duties.
Panteleimon Bagos, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, is the Director of the MSc Programme.
