Maritime Information Systems
Description.
The aim of the course is to present the structure of a shipping company and how the use of information systems supports its operation. We refer to the description of the needs covered by the information systems and discuss examples at the level of either a department in the company or functional entities on board. Reference is also made to the communications systems and how they affected the growth of modern applications.
